Daydream Believer Layouts

When this Studio Calico kit was first released I was not a fan.
In fact I was not a fan of any of the Dear Lizzy range. I thought its was way too peach, too girly and well just not inspiring. Everyone else was gushing over it but not me, I thought they were mad ... but, Guess who loves it now, Guess who's made umpteen layouts and loves them all ... yep me!

Seriously LOVING THIS KIT and I *might* have actually bought more Dear Lizzy papers!

So here are some of my favourite Daydream Believer layouts!

Hello Adult Teeth

Prima Ballerina

Fabulous February

Today

You Really Love That Scruffy Dog

Sweet

At The Salon

I should add two things here: I do have a son but this kit was all about the girls and second I still have LOADS of this kit left! I think I'll be making kits out of it for a few more months- haha!

March 123 Challenge

Wow long time no blog but I'm afraid that's just how life is at the moment. Uni has really ramped up this semester and I find that most, not quite all of my spare time is devoted to studying. When I do get to scrap I want to actually get my hands busy so I have been neglecting the photographing/blogging side of things. But i've managed to carve out some time today so here I am.

I actually finished this layout for 123 Challenge about a week ago but this has been the first chance I've had to get it photographed and uploaded. 123 Challenge is one of my favourite challenge sites and I am *trying* to keep playing along with them but I simply need more hours in the day!!The challenge this month was:

COLOUR:Metallic BlueWORD:123TECHNIQUE/EMBELLISHMENT:use something ORGANIC

and another for good measure!

The glimmermist was a metallic blue but unfortunately the shimmer does not really photograph well. The 123 is included in the title and I think I've even managed to get TWO organic items - the twine and the Basic Grey button.

Thanks for looking!

Beyond the Door - February Challenge

My first time playing along at BTD but I just couldn't resist.

Check out the gorgeous room inspiration

Yummy right??? I mean turquoise and yellow, yes please. Black and white, love it. CHEVRONS!!! don't get me started on chevrons.

So here is my layout based on this gorgeous room

Lots of die cutting and stenciling going on here! I have actually had this piece of paper stenciled like this for a while and it turns out its the perfect colour!

Love that Ormolu tag too! Cool product but even cooler company philosophy! check them out!

Want a close up?

Thanks for looking!

Project Life - Week Six & Seven

Wow! Life gets away from you sometimes! Last week was super busy, mostly because I put off writing an essay for uni until the last minute! I know my bad! But every moment I had was taken up with reading and writing but I have a weeks reprieve until Study period one starts next week.

I managed to complete week six of Project Life last week, just never quite got it online! It has been on my to do list for a week now.

Week 6

Week Six was all about Lego. Lego, Lego, everywhere Lego! All the kids loved it too! And surprisingly they were pretty good at tidying it up too!

Dan worked some crazy hours this week - really missed him but when he got home we hung out and acted silly together. Still crazy about him.

Week six also saw Ethan start big boy kinder AKA 4 year old kinder. He is new to the centre but has taken to it so well. We've had a few wobbles as I leave but he's so excited to go and loves telling me what he's done with his days.

The week of the Thermomix - my gorgeous wonderful friend Vanessa lent me this awesome machine. It chops, minces, grates, cooks, juices, steams, in fact it does pretty much everything in the kitchen. But its pretty $$$ so I had a borrow to see if I'd actually use it - VERDICT hell yeah I need one of these bad boys. Started saving already!

Week Seven

Valentines Day - personally think it is a complete load of rubbish but I was pretty happy when Dan brought home Sticky date Pudding - he knows the way to my heart!

Love those slipper thongs, they are just divine for wearing around the house but I have been caught wearing them out side of the house more than once recently ...

Page Two - Dan got to spend the day at the zoo with his work - they call it 'team building' - hmmm I'm not so sure!

Arggh - more studying! Spend most of the weekend locked in the bedroom studying - bedroom is better than the study because it has no internet to distract me!

A new do - needed a change? What do you think?

Proud of my boy - getting another Swordy Certificate for swimming!

If you made it all the way to here THANK YOU! Well done! Hope you enjoyed it!

Project Life Week Five

I'm back with another Project Life share.

I am really loving this type of scrapping and I can't believe that it took me so long to jump on the bandwagon! What a fool I was!

Week Five was all about going back to school! Getting ready for it and finally doing it!

A close up of Page 1

I loved these iphone photos of the kids at the hairdresser. They love the hairdresser, mostly because they get lollipops, and they are really well behaved. It always makes me feel very proud of them.

And another ...

How cute is that Home sweet Home design I cut using my Cameo?? I just love that machine!

Page Two focuses on back to school - we started back on Friday, I know its ridiculous to start school on a Friday but that's what we did!

Check out these crazy kids piggybacking their little brothers around the back yard! Poor Mackenzie really had her work cut out because Ethan weighs almost 18kgs and she only weighs 21kgs! Sounds impossible right?? But they are always doing crazy stuff like this!

And some more close ups because well you can never have too many can you??

Creative Scrappers - Sketch 193

This is the first time I've entered one of the challenges at Creative Scrappers and after seeing this they may not want me back!

This is the beautiful sketch they designed.

And here is my interpretation of that beautiful sketch...

OK, OK, I hear ya ... I know it looks nothing like the sketch but let me explain. First - the photo is square, the title is in just about the right spot, there are flowers in the bottom right hand corner, the horizontal paper near the title ... no your right it's nothing like the sketch but the sketch was my inspiration!

I love that quote too. I was searching for a reading quote and while I like all the cute Dr. Seuss ones this quote just felt so right.

Show us your Stuff - February

I haven't been doing many challenges lately because I've been so busy with the kids home from school. However this week I found some time and wanted to give the sketch at Show us your Stuff a try.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my interpretation, albeit a loose interpretation LOL!

Well it's got the artisan shape at the top and two photo and some embellishments scattered here and there! HA - well I did say my interpretation was loose!
I have a few handmade bits - the red yo-yo, the gorgeous Purple Pumpkin button and the twine daisy.

But SUYS always have a little additional challenge and this months was to use a chain of paper dolls. How cute! I cut these little guys out with my new Cameo. Love them!
